Why can't I see a particular leave entry?

Depending on the company settings, certain leave types may not be visible to Staff- or Approver-level users.

Super users can choose different Permissions for each leave type in the account, to determine what level of user is able to see or request that leave type.

LEAVE DOES NOT APPEAR ON THE WHOSOFF CALENDAR

If there is a leave request that you know has been entered, but does not appear when viewing the WhosOff calendar then this indicates that leave type has not been made visible to users of your level (may affect Approvers or Staff).

Please note that regardless of the leave type Permissions, users will always be able to see their own leave and any related notes on the My leave page, and on the WhosOff calendar page.

LEAVE DOES NOT APPEAR IN THE REQUEST DROPDOWN

When submitting a leave request, if you do not see a particular leave type in the What type of leave do you want to book dropdown then either;

  • That leave type has not been made available for your user level to request (may affect Approvers or Staff) or;
  • The leave type has been Deactivated by a company super user (will affect all users). 

LEAVE DOES NOT APPEAR ON REPORT FILTERS

If a leave type has been set to Deactivated, approvers and super users will not be able to run reports for that specific leave type using the Leave type filter on any Report page. However leave entries of this type will still appear when running a report for All leave types.
